General Information
Omaha Hi-Lo is played in the same manner as Omaha, with the player only being able use two cards from the hand dealt to him and three cards from the community cards to create a poker hand.
Game Play
As in Omaha Poker, after the initial cards being dealt and the Flop, Turn and River rounds are completed, the Showdown round starts.
As in Omaha Poker, the player with the best 5 card poker hand using two cards from his own hand and three from the community cards wins the Hi. If a Lo hand can be made in the same manner as with the Hi hand (i.e. two cards from players hand and three from community cards), then a Lo winner is also announced. The Lo winner receives halve of the pot.
The Lo winner is decided by the hand that has only cards of value 8 and lower. The winner is decided by looking at the highest value in the players hand. The lowest high value is the winner of the Lo pot. If there are two players with the same value high card, then the next highest card of the players in the tie are considered. If two players have exactly the same five cards of value, then they split the Lo pot. In other words, they both get a quarter of the total pot.
